Welcome to the on-line Aviation Art Gallery of artist Dominic JH Berry.

My father is ex-USAF, and my Grandfather was one of the first pilots in the RNAS so I grew up with aircraft in my blood. Painting planes from the glory years between the wars, the aircraft of WWII and into the jet age, it is a passion that continues to motivate my work.

One of my earliest memories is of sitting on the roof of the car at an airshow on the Isle of Wight as jets screamed overhead; I must have been no more than three or four at the time, but I remember even now the excitement of seeing planes flying, and so close too! The smell of the oil, the clink of cooling metal and the nostalgia of incredible designs and the bravest of men continue to inspire my work.

In 2003 I joined arguably the world's foremost aviation art society, the Guild of Aviation Artists (GAvA) as a friend and was recognised in 2006 with the award of the Frank Wootton Trophy for the South West region. My work is held in collections in the US, Europe and the UK.
