Fine Liner drawings

This gallery shows the observational drawings I do using black fine liner pens. All of these drawings have been done from life sitting or standing right in front of the machine. There has been no tracing of other short-cuts taken. I like the immediacy of fine liner, you can't correct a mistake, so there's always a tension when working in this way.

I also like the sole use of vertical line to suggest tone and form, it becomes a challenge to achieve the desired result.
