Drawings

Working from life is one of the fundamental skills required by any artist. To be in front of the subject you are interested in will provide you with a million times more information than even the best of photographs. For me, photographs ALWAYS lie. Therefore I spend as much time as possible working from life, in hangars, museums and airfields, as well as some less well-known locations. Most of the drawings in this gallery are drawn from life, standing right next to the machine.

If you are interested in having a drawing produced, they can often be a good way to begin a collection as they are certainly cheaper than a painting, and make an excellent, and very unique present.
