Oil Paintings

The works you see here are all original oil paintings. Most have been produced 'from life', in other words done on-the-spot, in the hangar or at the airfield. Others are studio pieces that have been worked on over time using research. I prefer to work from the real thing, it provides me with so much more information that even the finest photograph can never even get close to. The studio pieces, wherever possible will have been painted using preliminary drawings and colour notes taken 'on site'.
