Aviation has been a recurring subject in Dominic Berry’s work for many years. He joined the Guild of Aviation Artists around 2000 and was awarded the Frank Wootton Prize a few years later. As elsewhere in his practice, he prefers to work from direct observation wherever possible, although the development of a painted composition often continues in the studio.
